First Banshee Project : The timming plate.

I think my tongue is bleeding from biting it! I would like to know where the boss is that you can sneak a non paying Banshee part on a DMU and why in the world you would want to? Just more setup. Guess I know the machine, I know what it costs, and I know no one in their right mind is going to buy one and say "hey guys go make your bike parts on it". Buy a spindle and you will find out about expenses....

When I saw the flywheel puller, I got some concerns. Now we are wasting time. China makes them by the thousands and no way could I sell them for 20 bucks and no real shop could. But, you got hours in that for a $20 dollar part? Don't tell me you have 10min in the part. Measuring and verifying took longer than that.

K, I better chill......lol. Sorry, when I see a DMU doing a $30 timing plate I think, inheritance check, lottery, or a blind boss. I think I am sleep deprived from setting up a Mak T2 but uh, no one will be sneaking Banshee parts on it...

You're thinking too hard :-)

Ok, a little bit more about me.

I have a dec, bacc and msc in mechanical engineering and i'm teaching it in a college in Quebec.

I did the little puller on our new lynx semi auto lathe. We have it for about a year but i didn't tried it yet.

My scpeciality is cao/fao with catia v5.

The pics of the engine case i did was made as a project in my cnc course.

So, to make a long story short, i'm using the college equipment to make my stuff then i gave those parts as exercices to my student 'cause they like it when it's real life project.

And you were right, even the little puller took me about 2 hours to make but i like making my stuff.

Sorry for my english, french is my first language.

Please excuse my outburst.....  long day I think!

No problem pal,  i understand that if you know the cnc buisness, using a dmu 50 (about 200kCan.$) or a 1250 Tc (650kCan.$) to make those kind of part is silly! ;-)

Even Catia V5, non educational price,  is about 60K for each station...

We had a crash with the new 1250TC, a little one, the tool didnt even broke....45000$ for a new head...

BTW, i never sell anything i made, 'cause i know how it realy cost ;-)
