91coupemike
my current set up is: stock jugs, no porting .020 over. toomey t5 +4 timing plate cool head 19cc domes 28mm pwk carbs pod filters I have stock reed valves now, and was wondering which would be best for my set up, ive heard the VF4 would be good, but i was wondering if my small motor would benifit from them as much as much as RAD valves or maybe even chariot or modded stock cages. I dont plan on changing the set up anytime soon, just looking to upgrade while its apart.
91coupemike
ive fou nd vf4s on ebay for $180 and the chariots were $130 or so, so its not a big price differance.
Motooutcastxxx
I would and do run the Chariots and they work very well but the VF4's I'm guessing definitely don't suck either.. I would go with one of those two myself.
trickedcarbine
VF4. I'd bet you can find a killer deal on the VF3's since every one is going to 4's though.

shanYE west
If it were me.. I'd run the Chariots.. When it comes time to replace the petals on VF your looking at 120.00. Vs. 50.00 for the chariots. You wont see any power difference between the 2 on your motor. Dyno's have shown in the past that a good set of aftermarket reeds on stock cages are almost identical to VF cages on a stock motor. Hell, if you dig deep enough and you can probably find the dyno's on here.
