Not getting full adjustment on shift star

Hey guys, I'm reassembling my motor and I came across a issue adjusting the arm to the shift star, it has a lot of up and down play and I can't get full upward adjustment from the eccentric bolt. I replaced the eccentric bolt because it had wear grooves in it and tried again still not getting all the upward adjustment. Removed the shift shaft and popped the spring off and it looks like there is grooves, I don't have a new one to compare nor seen a new one . 6a917a9026937f5c38f996a9b74be9e0.jpg3013dc4b0563fdec04428f1648de3013.jpg18abd4a77b673428bdc352eff9f95661.jpg

yup  its worn.  IF the end is still relativley tight you can weld that up and grind it down BUt most times when the shaft is THAT worn the end pawl is pretty shot also  get a new nylon spacer, NEW spring also  you should be good to go.  f you get one from fast have him do his shaft modification while your there.  it will help a little bit.
