BANSHEEBEEFM2M
Duh. If you don't rejet it you'll blow it up. At least 280-320 main jets depending on elivation. Sprockets don't have a fuckin thing to do with jetting. You should take it to a shop or local bike mechanic
Pasi S.
EaCastillo, Yes - you need to re-jet your carbs. To get better help you should give few hints more, like elevation from seal level and temps where you are riding. I don´t have master degree in Jetting, but I would think 27.5 pilots could work. Also get a good selection of Main Jets like said above. I would get 260 and 270 too.
Larry's Shee
Fuck beefM2M, like he always new everything from day one. Anytime you change the amount of air into or out of the engine you have to jet accordingly. Then you have to either plug chop or learn to read the plugs. There is a stickied thread in jettin/exhaust forum : "What jets are you running" . Read through that and find set-ups like yours and see what jets they used. Always start rich and work your way down. trickedcarbine
Actually, your gear ratio can effect what jetting you might want to run. Smaller ratio (17/38) increases the load on the engine and you might want to run it a little richer. Bigger ratio (12/42) is a smaller load and could get away with a leaner mix. Remember when Jim and Gary brought that up when snipers first came out?
BUILDER
Need to know your elevation and then we can get you really close from the start but like said above. You will blow it up if you try and ride it without rejetting it.

banshee4mil
anytime you go smaller on the front sprocket, it will rev quicker, and top end will be slower so yea check the plug make sure its rich enough for the quicker wide open rpm range, changing the front will effect the rpms a lot more than the rear, especially if you go 2 or more teeth smaller on the front
banshee4mil
anytime you go smaller on the front sprocket, it will rap out quicker through the gears, top end will be slower, but higher prms quicker- check the plug make sure its jetted rich enough for the quicker wide open rpm range, changing the front sprocket will effect the rpms a lot more than the rear, especially if you go 2 or more teeth smaller on the front, its quicker and cheaper to gain power to use a smaller front than a big rear sprocket
