20banshee00
Just got a new 4 mil banshee and I was hauling ass in 5th gear and the plug got fouled. I replaced the plugs and it won't start. It started first kick every other time. I put both chokes on and held the gas down and it will start run for a couple of seconds and die. It backfires sometimes too. It doesn't sound right when you kick it or it runs. Thanks for any help. Fresh rebuilt carbs and motor
oldskool
Did you do a leakdown test on rebuilt motor? Either way you need to do this next.
Atomic Monkey
Flywheel key?
sleeper06
Air leak / hole in piston. Compression test it , leak test it with proper tools not carb cleaner. Establish a mechanically sound motor then deal with the fouling plug
sheerider1026
Hmm. Sounds like flywheel key? But as stated. Check the obvious. Compression test first
20banshee00
Passed leak down test
BUILDER
If it backfires and does not sound right when it does start then check your flywheel as stated a couple of times above also need to do a compression test and make sure that is good. You dont usually foul plugs wide open in 5th gear!
sheerider11
I had a electrical issue with my bike when my harness melted to the stinger. Buck would spit and sputter and back fire a lot.
20banshee00
It won't start now. It kicks back almost everytime and it'll blow smoke out every once and a while

20banshee00
Will do! Just making sure before I tear in. Thanks for the help
BUILDER
Not really tearing into it to check the flywheel key. Make sure you do not try and pull the flywheel unless you have the right puller! Do not put a jaw puller on it and try to get it off you will ruin it!!!
