Banshee0028
How many of you actually have one of these? I know the purpose of it is "just in case" some small particle of metal is running around in there it will attach to the mag drain plug instead of getting in the gearing..... I guess the only way of telling if its really working is seeing if there are any metal pieces on it when draining the oil.... Does anyone who uses these mag drain plugs ever see any metal peices attached to the drain plug when changing their gear oil
streetshee
i think u will allways have some fine dust in it,but if uve got "pieces" of metal on it then its not so good! keep the oil fresh, dont wait for it to look bad before u change, even the small dust(metal) runnin around in the box is not good fo the gears.my oil is allways very clean, the magnet works very well. fixitrod
I paid $2.50 for mine. Avanced auto parts sold them. I had pics posted on old forum. I guess I'll have to load the pics to the net If I want to post them this time. Anyway ... www.partsamerica.com They own checkers and advanced auto parts. If you called them, I'm sure they can hook you up. I don't have the thread size handy.
