99michael
^ like that idea. I may be interested if I can get some junk sold. Preferably honda based tho if I did.
rjayb
Brian I talked with Bobby about a yr ago he told me they "could" build a trx or yfz 450 based frame... Now you have me interested. The 450 based option gives the bike so many more options. I hope they are still willing to do that. He told me 2500-3k? I have a few buddies wanting one and I have been kicking around the idea of building another one. I will call Monday and see what they could do with a run of 5 or so. Maybe get a group buy. I tried to PM you. Says you can't accept messages?
lastnline75
Maybe they can also solve the rear shock cage problem we have on the Outlaw chassis and give us some more room in there for bigger carbs and air filters.

I would hope to do a 2 in 1 on my setup. Do you think that would fit with the current shock situation?
lastnline75
You would prolly be ok because you have plenty of room in the middle. Its the dual filters that dont have enough room due to the circular bend of the upper part of the shock support.
lastnline75
Doesnt show it all but gives you an idea.
LaegerEliminator
Brian do you think there would still be plenty of clearance to be able to install and remove a single air filter when you take into consideration the extra depth of the 2-1 manifold? lastnline75
Not sure. Anybody have a measurement on the setup? I can measure my chassis and see what the length is inside there from face of cylindes
billybobby
I would think k&n could make filters that fit. I will do some leg work and see... The filter setup and access to suspension. Parts are the only real issues with these.
rjayb
DDQ might be able to tell us how long his 2 into 1 is from intake boots to tip of the filter. He's running a single 35 I think and that would probably be my route as well.
lastnline75
I have tried several different k&n filters for my 28 pwks. Either their to long, or diameters to big or the filters are right size but just a hair to small to get on the carbs themselves. Its aggravating to say the least.
rjayb
This is how a single carb and K&N clearance around the shock was done on my yfz. I image something like this could be fabbed up to work on the outlaws as well.
billybobby
My filters fit and are angled and barely fit. I have 3 sets of them but would like to get something a little more user friendly. I cleared up my inbox rjayb..
billybobby
How many people would be in for a yfz based frame on here? I have 3 in for frames if we can get them done.
