quadgod211
Anybody tried to rebuild these with better stuff rods ,bearings does anyone offer a kit or would I have to buy the stuff piece by piece??
trickedcarbine
Definitely doable. Hot rods sells rod and bearing kits. Not sure if they'll work on a wang crank, but I bet if you had some measurements from a caliper when you talk with a rep, they might be able to tell ya. camatv
no reason they wouldnt work.. i believe a certain pipe builder does exactilly that. the wang cranks are to factory specs as far as bearings, rod bearings sizes are concerned.. quadgod211
It's a 10mill 115 rod The thing actually made it through one season on a moderate tune but I plan on beating on it some this coming year Some one told me last year that if I swapped out rods and bearings that there same as a wiesco crank basically Who does these though I asked talked to currie and shearer and they don't rebuild cranks
registered user
piece by piece ? fuk theres only 4 bearings and 2 rods. put any bearings you want on there, skf, koyo, ntn. whatever. i prefer prox rods generally but if you want 120mm youll probly have to use hotrods

locogato11283
CW will do it but be prepared to wait forever. Their repeat business is a priority.

May be the only option for me Im in this crank when it was new for less then $100 I figured couple hundred more it would be a decent crank
locogato11283
Better get some numbers first. I think you're going to be in it for more than that.
registered user
CW is hit and miss on the turn around time. ive had some get back to me in about 2 weeks but others ive waited well over a month
quadgod211
Well time ain't the big issue I got till May but like Tyler said I need to do some math on this I'm pretty sure I could buy a wiesco crank for $7-800 can't i? I don't care to spend $3-400 on this crank to make it decent I'll still be close to $500 in it
locogato11283
I was told 2-3 weeks and got the run around and waited 8 weeks for a rebuild on a 10mm crank. I ended up just buying a new one from a dealer that had one in stock. When CW called and I told them to keep it, they were not happy.
