Deadbeat
if its that clean and been ridden twice its whole life its a good deal, how mechanically minded are you?.. a few mofos will tell you if it hasnt been run in 5yrs it should get a leakdown test, then change all the fluids, put an aftermarket air filter on it and ride the thing
Ghostbanshee84
Yeah it's real clean this site won't let me load any pics says files are to big. I have basic mechanical knowledge. I figured change trans oil and plugs and start riding

Deadbeat
I'm supposed to go on a night ride tomorrow in seven springs outside of pittsburgh but don't want to damage the machine if I should do any maintenance from sitting so long use quality high octane gas, 93 or higher..93 isnt really all that high but dont go lower, mix 32:1 with your oil
sheerider11
do a compression check. The rings could be stuck if it sat for that long. Pull the carbs and clean out the jets. They can get clogged easily with old fuel. drain the tank, throw fresh gas in, slosh it around real good, drain that out. run gas through petcock and lines. make sure brakes aren't frozen, tires hold air. cables move free. Check coolant when bike is running and see if you can see it surge when you hit the throttle. there's more that can be done just don't half ass it and get to excited to go ride and miss stupid shit. Deadbeat
if its factory tuned its prolly running rich and thats a good thing at the moment, might be worth checking the plugs after a couple of minutes riding, if the are a caramel/carboard brown to black your good to go..if the are lighter than caramel/carboard brown, whitish..little metal bits your bike will be dead by the end of the day...possibly within the hour lol have fun
Ghostbanshee84
Thanks for everyone help changed all my fluids last night, spark plugs, cleaned carb and jets even thought everything looked ok, and cleaned gas tank. Packing up heading to seven springs for a night ride. Wish I could figure out how to upload pics. I downloaded two different programs to resize photos no freakin dice
