Rufus Rockhead
Ooohh and how do i know how many cc from the coolhead
Bennett131
It should say on the side of the dome if they are "shelf" domes. Other than that I would think of having some new ones cut when the time is ready. Figure out what you want out of it first.

oldskool
Comical name. Can you see the numbers on top of pistons you have? May have to clean them a little to read numbers
BUILDER
If it is a stock stroke motor then you need to figure out what size the cylinders need to be bored out to and have the person boring your cylinders for you order then pistons. I run Wiesco Pro Lites in all my motors they are a little more money but good pistons and worth the money.
Rufus Rockhead
Perfect going to to have them bored then get him to just order some pro lites
trickedcarbine
They need to measure the cyls, then determine how much material needs to be removed based on damage, oval shaping, scaring etc. in order to get a good bore. Then you order pistons and bore to the piston and desired clearances. Domes, you will probably have to just mock everything up in order to figure out what you have/need. Sort out which base gasket gets the piston edge situated around the ports where you want it. Then torque the cyls and check them with a good straight edge. Now you can measure deck height. With that dimension you can call a multitude of different guys who can cut you domes.
Deadbeat
Perfect going to to have them bored then get him to just order some pro lites who is "him" its worth dealing with a reputable shop that works on these motors all the time
tfaith08
I'd send the cylinders to a builder and let them bore it. If it needs a bore, they can provide the pistons and bore to match the bore to the pistons. Then, they can provide the gasket kit and do all the measurements necessary to cut a good set of domes for you. Custom domes > shelf domes. Don't just buy some pistons and figure that they'll work. You may have a gouge that's .5mm deep. If you purchased .5mm larger pistons, you'll be .5mm short. But, if you trust the guy you know (and he may do just fine) to do the work properly, go ahead with him. Make sure he chamfers the cylinders. The site sponsors have proven that they will do quality work whereas you're taking a chance with some guy that nobody knows.
turbowrenchhead
Spend a little more and send it to a known builder to do the job. I second the wiseco pro lites. Good pistons for a little more $. There is a lot more power to be had with some porting on your stock cylinders too. This would be a great time to explore this since you have to send them out anyway. Rufus Rockhead
It came with a cool head aswell should i send that out aswell?
turbowrenchhead
Depends on what you want done. Call around to some of the known builders on here. I had Jay at Illinois Power Sports build my last motor and it turned out real good. Give him a call at 630-365-6722 and pick his brain. He'll give you more input then the rest.
