registered user
ill tell you straight up, since most these guys are like a broken record and just say send it across country to a site sponsor for a 5 min job. if your simply wanting to match a stock cylinder bottom the the top of a stock case, any blind monkey can do it, even with a hand file if you dont have a dremel handy. but most likely there will be hardly any mismatch anyways, so its hardly worth the trouble by itself. its unfortunate nobody nowdays can do a simple job like this without somebody holding their hand
RadarRacing
Just like they said. Why spend $80 to 120 to do the cases when on stock cyls it doesnt add hardly anything. For cub cyls putt he gasket on the vase and use a marker to mark it. Then dremel or air die grinder out to the gasket mark and taper down at an angle down about 1/2 to 3/4ths of an inch. Its not rocket science at all. If you cant do it then you should leave your motor together and send it off. I revently saw where a builder charges $175 for it. Wow. Bennett131
I would personally pay the 120 bills just so I didn't have to fuck with it.
possum
Its easy if you know how to use a die grinder. like mentioned, it really aint gonna do anything in a simple build.
trickedcarbine
The bigger the transfer, the bigger the blend, the bigger the gain. Stock cyls with mild port work will only see a fractional gain, yet bigger mono jug stuff will net a decent few ponies if you do more then just gasket match. There is a difference between case porting and just gasket matching.
banshee den
I have serval cub cylinders. I most likely could do it but don't feel like screwin stuff up. maybe I just see if some machinist in the area can do it for me.

banshee den
I did stop in and see one guy said he could do it. HE said he has done a few for stock jugs so good chance I will let him do it.
registered user
gonna do some work on my cases. ill be eliminating the chanell that some people say is for dripping oil on the bearing while i think of it, if anyone gives a shit, the volume of everything under the piston at tdc with 64x54 oem crank, rod, piston, base gasket, reed block, unported cylinder is about 685cc
