AdamVP
I use pantyhose for mine. I've had problems with my outer wears clogging up

I don't care where I'm riding Id keep the air box on if I had no outerwear
hoppedupandcutdown
No box. I even quit using them on my kid's Yfz450's (3 of em) K&N in box no lid, kept having to peel the outerwear back mid-day to run. and I always wipe out to intake duct to check for sand, etc... when cleaning the filter, always clean since I started to grease the flange. But, hey, to each their own, that's just me. Lots of folks run outerwears, just not me.

trickedcarbine
always clean since I started to grease the flange. Seems like a lot of folks forget that step.
