TIM LUTZ
Seriously considering a hybrid for the 2015 XC season. Anyone raced a Banshee powered YFZ? Really want to try this before I go all 4-stroke.
trickedcarbine
I was at a hard scramble on a ski resort here in Michigan. Somebody had a Bill Balance Edition XC 450 and had a pretty decent 4 mil set up in it. He was cookin' in the wide open stuff and the hills, but couldn't really ride hard enough to hang in the woods. Said it was his first year racing XC..... I asked if he posted here and he said he never heard of it.
TIM LUTZ
Yea, It's the really technical hill climbs that I'm having trouble controlling the power to the ground. I'm thinking the YFZ450 geometry is going to help a little with that. I have never even rode a YFZ in fear that I'd sell the Banshee and never look back. Had all houser suspension with axis shocks for a guy pretty close to my weight. It doesn't hold a candle to the banshee when it comes to fun factor. It can fucking carve though. Tight technical stuff it just mows through it all. However. Why not buy one and do the swap? Or just ride a 450 comparable to what you would want and see how you feel. Definitely don't sell the shee unless there's just no way to buy the other quad.
