I have an 03 Banshee and V-Force.I bought them both for drag racing and both stock. The V-Force is a 10th of a second quicker in 100 yds.

All I have to say Banshee #48 is there is only two reasons your V-force is faster than your shee...

The first being you have no idea how to drag race a shee. You are probably the "guy" who gets stomped on by z400's and 400ex's.Then I have to hear those same guys talkin shit about how they can beat banshees on their 400's.Whatever.

The second reason being,Your a wuss, take off the dress and race like a man.Let me tell you something, even when my shee was stock,I made sure I knew how to race it before I jumped out there and got beat down. You guys need to learn that a banshee is only as good as its rider.

I can see how you think an automatic would be quicker and would get a better holeshot, but thats not the case.Stock for stock, the V-force is giving the shee about 100lbs and a couple of horsepower. Not to menton they top out around 65mph.

Have any of you guys heard about Power to weight ratios? The V-force was mathmatically eliminated before the race even began.

1st of all, I can see that your a real class act !!

2nd do you think that i'm the only one there with

a Banshee ?? We do bracket racing, you get 3 passes

then you select a dial in. come race time the lights are

staggered accordingly.

My "V" has dual exhaust, clutch kit and K&N filter.

running 22" 4-snows on rear.

If I end up racing a stock or slightly modified Banshee

ie.....piped & jetted.....ect he will start anywhere from

2-5 10ths ahead of me.

If I can do something to knock off another 10th from what

I run now, I will be able to move up to the top class and run

with the modified Banshees and 250R's and Quadzillas.

Now if your going to tell me that nobody in the state of Maine

knows how to ride a Banshee or some shit like, then don't bother !!

I'm 38yrs old, I'm not some punk kid, I dont need to hear your crap !!

If you have something constructive to say, then go for it.

there was a group of guys at little shara with about 3 of them and we ran a few drags and they couldent come close but they were all stock it took a little to get them to race me but when they finaly did i killed them everytime we raced but they all had stock tires i'll bet that gave them a little disadvantige in sand

Well,Well,Well...Now the V-force has pipes,a clutch kit etc.Maybe you need to go back and change your post where you mentioned that your V-Force is STOCK!

I never said you were a punk kid,or ever implied it.Im just teling you what I know.I've raced V-Forces,including an Mx machine that looked like Swiss sheese.

I destroy them.If you know "how" to drag race a banshee, then no V-force or any 4stroke should get you out of the hole. After that the race is over cause theres no catching a banshee.Your best bet is to get the holeshot and try to fend off a huge closer.

For bracket racing, its a different story.I could see the V-force winning alot of races because consistencey counts,"But running with modified banshees and Zillas?"I think you might have jumped out there a little with that statement......And remember suckers jump up to get beat down.

I don't recall ever stating that people of maine can't ride, just the one guy that you beat one night on his banshee. He was probably wearing lace panties, but nobody knew

I'm gonna jump in here as a V-Force owner--first off the bike doesn't top out at 65 mph. Its in the 75 mph range bone stock, and up from there with clutching modifications. And a little clarification on your HP #'s the V-Twin is producing 50 horse at the crank. Those numbers you are giving came from a dyno run of a stock machine with stock clutching. The stock clutching in the auto tranny doesn't allow the machine to rev past 6500 rpm and the 700 twin makes peak power at 8500rpm; therefore the dyno numbers at the rear wheel are not what the motor is actually capable of producing, just what the clutch setup is ALLOWING it to produce. The stock clutching is set up to utilize the tremendous torque (38 ft/lbs bone stock) that the motor is capable of producing, and the clutch setup is also used to detune the bike so that Joe-Schmo isn't killing himself with it. With minimal mods to the intake, exhaust, and clutching this is a bike capable of 85+ mph and will pull a piped Banshee by 3 to 4 bike lengths through the gears--trust me, I have extensive seat and mod time with both machines. Don't take the V-Force mildly, it is unimpressive in stock form, but with a tuned clutch it is a serious threat to anything with similar mods.
