eehsnab2
Cut your head/rechamber. Weld crank. I am lucky I did mine when I did. I thought I would be ok not welding my crank with just a few mods. Ends up that my crank started to spread.
Nutz
Thanks for the info. I was looking at reeds already but dont think im ready to go into the bottom for the crank. Anyone know any good machine shops in Connecticut to bore my cylinders???
boonman
I do not know of any shops in connecticut, but you could ask around. I am sure you will find answers. And on mods, you could have the head cut, flywheel lightened, you could port it, mod the shift star, the list goes on...

As for boring your cyls... DO NOT take them to Enfield motor sports. Bring them up to REP in west springfield. I can get you the # if need be. New England cycle center in Hartford can too... but they arent cheap! I dont know of any others in the area that I trust OR that uses a boring bar. If your looking for a few low buck mods then I would have someone shave the head and rechamber the domes and advance your timing +4 deg. You will be very pleased with it when your all done. Is your shee white/red? Did you run down Lake rd last weekend w/ someone on the back and w/ a few dirtbikes????
eehsnab2
I dont want to sound like mommy or anything but I really would suggest welding your crank. Miine spread with just pipes, filter, and timing advance. The builder said one more ride and I would have destroyed the bottom end not to mention this was a brand new crank with less than 30hrs on it. Just food for thought... SICK BOY
I'm with eehsnab2 if you plan on doing some more mods down the road I'd have the crank trued and welded.A few hours of work and a $70.00 true and weld bill is a lot cheaper then a new crank and cases.Just my $.
