registered user
tighten the powerband a bit. 10mm screw on the side of the cylinder. 3 of 4 turns counterclockwise should do it
trickedcarbine
What are all the mods done to it and what do the plugs look like? That'll be a good indicator of where to start. Clean the carbs, check for air leaks, see if it's jetted at least close, gas is fresh and proper octane?

Fernando Loya
Fmf fatty pipes on it. K&N air filters on it. And something with the clutch cable. Other than that its all stock top end rebuilt about 8 months ago. And i will try to tighten powerband an see if it helps.

Larry's Shee
Ya fucked up, should have got sprockets with teeth instead of points. They bite harder on takeoff.

BUILDER
I also bought a 13 point sprocket for it which ill install this weekend Good to see the guy picked right up and that and shot a smart ass remark back at you! Need a little more info to be able to help you out. You say there is a big lag between the bottom of first gear and the power band but once you hit the power band and if you keep the up in the RPM range how does it run? Have you checked anything on the bike or have you just ridden it?
Fernando Loya
So as long as i keep rpms high it rides awesome carbs are synchronized and filters look good. How do i adjust the power band as far as the sprocket it was just 10$ so if its not a good idea i wont put it on and get something better

Sounds like to me your jetting is just off if it is slow coming off the bottom then runs well on top. Best way to answer this is to take one carb off and see what pilot and main jet you have in it right now. Then list all the mods along with the elevation you are running at and we will be able to get your jetting really close to where it should be.
