What would cause banshee to die out?

Recommended Posts

I can ride at a moderate speed without going wide open throttle and it rides good. As soon as I hit it wide open I'll ride it wide open as far as I can or road will give. And I let go of the throttle and Boggs down? Then it won't crank back up. Gotta let it sit for like 5 min without touching it. Good compression new sparks. Good gas and ratio mix. Carbs are synced. Cleaned good to go Idk what it could be.

I stripped the bike to bare frame. Powder coated it. No mods to motor just covers. Put everything back together and that's when it started doing that. Before it ran fine. Other thing I can get was just cut the wires to tors.

well, that seems to be something to look at. When you let of the throttle. Did you disconnect the switch? How about the black box under the tank?

What's the full run down on the bike?

You're sure the motor is not pretty well done for? Makes good compression, passes leak down, internals are not comin apart? If you say you think it's electrical, it could be related to the powder coat. Grounds need to be spic and span before connected. Ohm the stator, check the pick up gap, shake the flywheel and listen for rattles.
