turbowrenchhead
I'm not sure. Does the machine make A/C voltage or is it a DC voltage? Will any non battery grip work on banshee?
trickedcarbine
Winter riding, eh? Try some hand guards. Helps a lot
trickedcarbine
These are AC, but you can do a DC conversion pretty easily if whatever kit you find requires it.
turbowrenchhead
I'd rather just find an a/c kit. Old snowmobile ones should work right?
trickedcarbine
I don't believe so, try old 570 exciter or V max stuff. But they have batteries in them so I'm pretty sure you may have to do a DC conversion.

n2otoofast4u
That being said, Ive had little luck with hand grips that have the heater in a "pad" that the grip slides over. Seems they always twist, rip the pad, then no worky. I much prefer the ones that have the element in the grip, one keep rivet, some mild glue, and youre set for a long time. Glenyboy
How about a set of muffs that the road bikes use? Not pretty, but they do the job!
turbowrenchhead
I have an old 87 exciter and it doesn't have a battery. Most old sleds don't. I'm not sure where I would mount a small battery. I already have a box mounted where the stock air box is that holds a set of tools and 2 quarts of 2 stroke oil. Nieskes
Run coolant through the bars, I don't know how many dirtbikers I have ran into out on the ice with this done. http://www.klr650.net/forums/showthread.php?t=90580 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=531275

turbowrenchhead
I've seen plenty of old sleds with no battery that had hand warmers. Were old sleds a 12 volt a/c system?
Starwriter
These people are pretty proud of their stuff and claim that they work on AC or DC. http://www.hotgrips.com/faq.php
n2otoofast4u
I was referring to the 90's 570 exciters87 was the first year of the return of the exciter. They ran until 93. In 94 they reintroduced the vmax line which ran until 96. In 97 yamaha caught up with the times and went trailing arm and got away from the TSS. Elect start was an option on most which was why the battery was there. No lights or accs worked unless the sled was running. I do believe (not positive) they are all dc and use a regulator to manage the current.
turbowrenchhead
I called Al's snowmobile and talked to a tech there. They said that any universal heated grip will work on an a/c system. They gave me part numbers PH100 for $35.00 and a thumb warmer LM4500 for $25.00. These would will work on the a/c system. The thumb looks like it would be to big for a atv throttle. http://www.pollyheaters.com/ph100.htm
