amstall Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 Looking at getting top side boxes for one of the trucks. Have used weatherguard in the past but was looking at the UWS boxes last night. Anybody have any experience with them? Are they weathertight? Do they hold up? Quote
LaegerEliminator Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 I use Pro-Tech on all of my rigs. The quality is very good IMO. You get what you pay for. The weather stripping that creates the seal will fail after a lot of years of repeated use, but that can be replaced pretty easily. I have found it is also important to be sure the lock latches are properly adjusted to seal correctly and still be able to turn the handles with out too much effort. Burke Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 I had a UWS wheel well box... the box itself was nice, but the latches were junk. I replaced them with some better ones from Easley and never looked back Quote
Buckwheat Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 Those boxes are built here. UWS is one of our best customers. They are owned by Thule now. Quote
