skimpy101
I'm getting a stock banshee what kind of mods should I get for a aggressive trail riding. I was thinking of tuning a 4 mil. Any sort of advice or help I would really appreciate it thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
trickedcarbine
Depends on what your definition of trails. Are we talking gravel pits, tight twisty stuff in woods, open fields, or a mix of all that? Race gas 4mil w/ porting, trans, clutch, SLP or DMC pipes, etc. Axle, A arms, shocks, rebuilt rear shock, stabilizer, tires(possibly wheels)
trickedcarbine
I say start with the suspension. Get some front shocks, a-arms, rebuilt rear and axle. Then worry about the engine. There is no point in having a lot of HP when you can only use 50% of it because you are bouncing around. This.
camatv
an mx bike with about 55ft lbs of tq is a great agressive trail bike. a stock cyl 4 mill built for tq or a serval with minimal porting with slp's should get you a happy motor. and ofcourtse everything that goes along with that kind of build. if you bought a stocker you are probably better off finding something thats already close to what you want. OR budget about 3500-7500 for the build up

I'd leave the motor stock, do bolt-ons, suspension upgrades and run it all day long with no worry. I agree 100% with both of these comments
Evans Ward
Suspension upgrade first is exactly what I did and my Banshee is trail ridden. I'm very pleased I did that to start with and my motor is stock other than pipes/ filtration set up. Makes for a fun ride! Make sure that you get the suspension set up for your weight and type of riding.
