Wallrat
My (ex-stripper) wife will be there so thats at least one girl. She'd probably go for a wet t-shirt contest but not if she was the only girl.

banshee370
Wallrat: There may be a few women there,,, some you would pay to put cloths back on or wives that..... well lets just say I know mine wouldnt go for it. Someone on my email list had said something about bringing a few strippers w/ him... but I think thats doubtfull. NOT like I would turn them away tho Yamahammer; My group that has been getting together for the last few years is always considerate of newbies. When we go out on a dune ride the leader knows how to keep everyone together but still make it an enjoyable ride. Everyone watches out for each other. boonman
Moderators:Thank you for moving this... I wanted it in the "general" for the most visability but I think we have mostly everyones attention... Walt, you ought to know better!!!! If you wanted the most visibility, you should have posted it in EVERY forum!! Just messin' with ya. And I didn't move it on ya, but I would have probably. Because, this is an even isn't it? See, that's why there is different sections of the forums...... I guess... J/K BTW. And if I could make it out to the other side of the country for this, I would LOVE to be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 But I am a poor SOB and can't afford too much.... Boonman: I was going to post twice in every forum and then add Polls to each one w/ a link to some outwar sh*t. Then once they were all deleted I woulda posted them again askin why they were deleted, while flaming the hell out of all the moderators for deleting them. Then post single word replys to every topic in each forum. Ya know.. the usual sh*t I cant afford this trip either... between being burried up to my ass at work, a wife that doesnt work and two boys (4 and 1).... Sheesh..... I'm lucky I can afford to pee in a cup Sometimes you just need to say "F it" Your bills will always be there.... Your projects can wait until you return.... But experiencing a trip out west can never be replaced or explained to someone who has never been. My first trip out west was back in 97' I have been addicted ever since. I never want to go through life wishing I did something or regretting I didnt do it, when I had the chance. ( I also need to continue my sand collection from all the dunes I have been too ) Yamahammer: We may get a bit out of control around the campfire but one thing is we all watch out for each other when out in the dunes. We normally have people in our group that race and others that rather take a Sloooooow dune ride. Were there to have fun go home in one piece. banshee370
LOL who's bike was that??? I bet that heavy pos had a hell of a time getting out of there. Classic pic. Stan: Its a friends LTZ-400. He said "I'll be able to ride it out"!! hehe needless to say he had to pick it up out of the hole. He is the ONE guy in the group thats a major wiseass. He swears that Suzuki makes the best atv's ever. We seem to get a lil "out of control" at our dune trips. hehe Most of the time we will plan something like a gift exchange like we did over New Years/Glamis. Doug/Guido/LTZ owner ended up w/ this little toy If you think that pic is a classic.. then you should see some of the others we have <g> Most of the time its a toss up between the night time gatherings around the fire and the rides... We have so much fun no one ever wants to go home.
theeechozen1
Do the bowls out there compare to Glamis at all? The big hills? Is there a night hill? Just curious I've only been to Imperial
ledofthezep
Led:I too want to hit Utah, Idaho and Coral pnk. Ohh and back to Glamis a few more times I know what you mean about finances.... priorities suck... but well.... we have to live by something. I hear ya....priorities do suck ass! But ya do what ya gotta do...I'm just waiting for the woman to finish school & start bringin in her 80k or some shit like that starting pay...then I'll be able to play a bit more & tend to the toys. I just tell her she can take care of the house & bills,...I'll take care of the toys & mods, oh yeah...and the garage is my territory. Nice pic too!...I've burried the wheels of some quads before, or un-staked tents & push their quad over the door section to where they have to push the quad back off the tent before they can get to & unzipp the door. Fun stuff.
banshee370
I've been told there is a main hill called "Comp" that everyone races on (day and night) Ive never been to Dumont yet either... but I hear the bowls are as big or bigger... Some steeper hills, and is mostly razorbacks. Led: Ask stan about the pics... We have quite a bit of fun on our dune trips.... hehhe
Blue Duece
Comp hill is currently around 1200+ feet tall give or take 100 feet for wind conditions and the past couple of weeks it's been real windy, dumont is considerably smaller than glamis, as far as sand goes but the dunes are taller and steeper, but surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of some of the best desert riding you boys will ever ride, bring dirt tires as well, from Vegas your looking at about a 2-3 hour drive south on interstate 15, there are no services at dumont, in fact during the week you could have the place to yourselves, bring your cell phones and ride in pairs or groups, to some of you 30 degree's is summer weather but bring your jacket anyway the wind at night gets cold, but in march the days will be around 60degree's, if you make it to the top of comp hill you'll be at around 2500 feet so jett accordingly, keep in mind if you eat it bad and someone calls 911 your at least an hour from the hospital even if they chopper you out, so ride safe and bring all that pesky uncomfortable gear, sneakers, shorts and shower thongs are not recomended for desert riding........ boonman
shorts and shower thongs are not recomended for desert riding........ That depends who's wearing them!!!!!! Just kidding. Around camp, that "stuff" is all good, but when out riding, be prepared!!!
Justintoxicated
Just curious if I was able to make it, about how far is this from San Diego-El Cajon? About how many jet sizes should I go up from riding at glamis? about 2? Looking for some new places to ride, but gas is expensive on a long drive pulling a shee in my old truck. Wallrat
Map it. But I'd take a guess at about 300-340 miles from SD.
