banshee370
As the topic states.... If not I will drop it and let it go. I'm going out to Dumont in March. I will plan the whole thing IF people are interested. The last trip (roostfest) I planned we had a great turn out and a bunch of give-aways from a few different vendors. The date has already been set by our group so unfortunatly that cant be changed or the location. If I see interest then I will continue w/ planning another BHQ ride/meet/what ever, if not then I wont bother anyone anymore. Anyone??? Chemical Castration
I'm gonna try the best that I can to make it out there, I've never been to Dumont before and this trip sounds like fun!
ledofthezep
I'd love to,..but that's a tad too far for me right now... If we could ever get one arranged at LS, ok...I'm game.
BenBB
I'd be there in a heartbeat if I thought I had a chance...I was so pissed when I had to flake out on the LS trip (has it already been 2 years!?). What's the date set for in March? My birthday is late February, I know what I'll wish for when I blow out the candles... What town is Dumont closest to? Phoenix is a good 8-hour haul for me, how far from there?
Indubitably
I'm up for it whats the date again or is it not a sure date in March just some time in March? Never been to Dumont so it should be interesting.
banshee370
Ben: Mapquest says its a lil over 800 miles from your place. Dumont is located just north of Baker Ca. mapquest-Dumont Dates are set for March 4th to the 7th. and yes it has been 2 years already!!! Led: Distance is a figment of your imagination hehe This will be my 3rd trip to Cali, Ive been to Little Sahara Ok once and Silverlake Mi 2 or 3 times. Michigan is 900 miles one way for me and Little Sahara was 1700 miles one way. Just remember you only go through life once.... Dont regret anything, and do it now while you can. If everyone is interested I will do all the planning....
ledofthezep
Yeah...I'll make it someday. Need to get my finances straitened out before I can do much of anything. I vow to make it to Glamis, St. Anthony, & Dumont at least once before I kill over.

theeechozen1
the mapquest is tellin me it's 523 miles and takes 8 hours but it looks like its only 60 or so miles from Vegas? It's telling me i have to circle way in by LA and then back up towards the NV border. does anyone know if I can get there as a strait shot through Sin City? theeechozen1
ok bout 320 miles to Las Wages and another 130 miles to Dumont, I figure taking our time we can do it in 7 hours no problem, so you can crash at my house and we could leave around midnight to avoid all traffic. How are the dumont dunes compared to Glamis?
banshee370
Led: I too want to hit Utah, Idaho and Coral pnk. Ohh and back to Glamis a few more times I know what you mean about finances.... priorities suck... but well.... we have to live by something. We have 105 days, 17 hours, 18 minutes, and 19 seconds left until ROOSTFEST 2004 Dumont! Lets start this planning now... chozen1: Ive been told that the dunes are mainly razorbacks but are safe to ride since they are more predictable than Glamis. Some hills are steeper and there are other areas that are more "tame" for those w/ less duning experience. Maybe Azsandrat or Blue_Duece can desribe them better since I've never been to Dumont as of yet
Wallrat
I'm in. Maybe we can plan a little caravan for all the socal people to cruise out there together. That way if some people have transportation issues we can chuck extra bikes on those with vehicles/trailers. Also, anyone thinking that it might be a good idea to have a whole new forum set up just for roostfest? That way it'll be easier for people to check out what updates are going on. Just an idea. Moderators: Thank you for moving this... I wanted it in the "general" for the most visability but I think we have mostly everyones attention... Wallrat: I dont know if we have to have a forum dedicated for just roostfest, but if one of the mods could make this a "sticky note" so its always at the top. On my site I also have a link to an email list dedicated just for "roostfest". Just so you know that there are already people part of the email list that have been friends for many years.. so you will see some "odd" stuff from time to time in your inbox I wish I had the time and extra $ to have T-shirts made up like the last one... maybe next time.... I dont think there will be many females there for a wet t-shirt contest either BenBB: Not to rub it in or anything... but this is some of what you missed out on over Roostfest -Oklahoma http://www.roostfest.com/rfpics.htm Here are some of the things we do for fun At 2am in the morning when someone forgot to lock his Quad up... this is what happens. If you guys think thats good... you should see the pics of the "party at my place" in Oklahoma. I think I may hold that link for now...... I dont know if you guys can handle it
