Some will be with their grand children and I think there will be at least 1 baby!! The guys I normally ride with are a really good group, Its just too bad I'm on the wrong side of the country! BenBB Posted December 29, 2003 Report Share Posted December 29, 2003 Right on, I'll see if I can get the 4-door Ford from work and a bumper-pull trailer, if we load the quads sideways on the trailer we'll have the whole bed free for ice chests and gear. The trailer is like 20' deck or so, should fit 4 quads easy. I think the Powerchoke got better mileage last time I took it to TX than the Dodge, so if we got a few people chippin' in the fuel won't cost much at all. It's got a fuel tank in the bed too, so I'll prolly fill it with 80-100 gallons of diesel when I leave and see how far that gets me...should be able to get to Dumont easy without buyin' fuel. Only drawback to that truck is there's no CD player and I think even the tape deck is fucked up, so someone will have to man the radio tuner full-time, heh. I'll find out for sure soon and let ya know, if it works out you think the other guys would wanna cruise together in one truck/trailer? We're a good group of riders that drink too much beer so we should all get along great. I've even got extra radios layin around so we could throw one in before we left. Its super sweet there, smaller than Glamis, but a wide range of dune types for every type of rider. Mostly its razorbacks, from tiny little 5 foot ones up to huge scary monsters. There's also plenty of bowls to play in and some VERY steep hills for climbers. I grabbed GPS coordinates for areas like the turnoff to the dunes, a potential group campsite, comp hill, etc. and will post them soon. Also I shot a panoramic video of the whole area including the parking area from on top of one of the dunes. I can grab as many still shots as we need from that shot so we can pinpoint where we'd like to camp. I'm beat since I just got home about 20 minutes ago so the pics will have to wait a few days. Anybody wanna host them so we can post a few on this forum? I've only got imagestation which works but is kind of a pain in the butt and I haven't figured out how to make the images appear in the forum other than as a link.
