I'd really like to find a shower while I was there. It would really suck to not have a shower. I know boon is still trying to figure things out. There's a lot of guys out east that are trying to go. For you guys out east, I live 10min off a toll road exist in indiana. The people from this area could meet here. You could drop off little trailers if someone wants to bring big trailers or whatever. Blue Duece Posted January 13, 2004 Report Share Posted January 13, 2004 my place is about an hour from dumont, im still trying to get the time off (i have a client booked then, that swears ill fuckk his entire career if i miss a couple days)...but if i do make it i can bring ten or so guys for showers at a time to the house, grab race fuel or a repair or 2, and i have a play room that if we moved the pool table could sleep maybe 20 people? with sleeping bags....i know my wife makes a good cup of joe and a mean bisquits with sausage gravy...... We used to ride around that place and wonder who was skilled (or crazy) enough to climb those hills on a four wheeler. We've seen a few bikes go up those hills, but you guys are the first four wheelers that we have witnessed. As far as riding with us, if I had a crew cab I would say that this should be your primary plan, but since my truck is only an extended cab we are already worried about the third person being comfortable. I am almost positive that our friend is going to make the trip and it would be very uncomfortable for two people in the back seat. Another possibility is that you and fititrod ride together in your truck or car. And we could haul both of your four wheelers. If we take the tool box off of my friends 20' trailer, then we should be able to get 5 four wheelers on there easily. Just a thought in case you guys can't get hooked up with the rest of the east coast guys. Blue Duece, you'd better have a huge water heater . Blue Duece Posted January 13, 2004 Report Share Posted January 13, 2004 Blue Duece, you'd better have a huge water heater . well its only a 50 gallon but theres 2 showers.......of course if theres any women they outta go first...we can drink, play some poker or pool, BBQ, ride, and let it heat back up, takes maybe a half hour, but if anyones in a hurry to go sleep out in the cold desert, they can shower first..... Anyone here part of the email list on my site? A few of the "honda" guys have been asking where/why are all the banshee's coming from. One guy even stated he was going to mount a windshield to the front of his new YFZ to keep him safe from all the "falling parts" Dont take any offense to it.... They are all GREAT people too! (I think they are all jealous) and I am sure a few of you guys will fit RIGHT in... Especially Stan On a side note............ It's GREAT to see everyone coming together to help each other out. I hope everyone thats trying to make it.... Makes it! I'm sure this will be a very memorable trip for EVERYONE! As for necessary info...... Here is a snip from an email.... As soon as I have more info on a campsite/location I will post the info here regarding campspot. I am going this weekend and will take pictures of myregular camping spot. it's g\fairly close to the blm outhouse for any tenters and far enough away from the dunes to keep the rookies from getting stuck. I usually camp northeast of the #4 outhouse but far enough to be away from traffic. Your friend must mean roost. mrmatt: He has no room to talk.... he has been a Zuki rider ever since I've known him..... He used to have a banshee but LOVED his zukis....... He just went to the YFZ. I should post some pics... but I dont know how he would like it.... All of you that will make it..... well........ Lets just say you WILL want to spend a night around the campfire!! I'll have to do something about that... lmao it's a producer and director with Miramax, they are posting a flick, if once there masters arrived they magicly disapeared?......sniff, sniff i smell a lawsuit......fuckem if they cant take a joke.....i made the mistake of doing some macintosh consulting for the format we all use, with these guys and they wont let me put them with one of my staff, i signed a contract and took a deposit from them back in august, so they have me by the balls, they have a screening date that cant be changed, i didnt tell them i wanted to go riding, i said my nephews getting married and i need to be there, so there gonna try and speed things up if they can......im keeping my fingers crossed..
