theeechozen1
I don't know what the other dunes are like cause I never have been anywhere but Glamis and Gordons/Buttercup. But I can tell you I have rode for an hour as hard as I could strait away from Ghecko and when I turned around trying to make it back on the gas I had left, I could still see nothing but dunes. After you get up behind Olds the bowls are massive and are more the likes of craters than bowls. When you rip into a huge bowl tearing around the top in 5th it is a riding experience like no other, your in control but at the same time your hittin a huge bank turn 800 feet off the bottom of the bowl, that is my true moment of zen Do whatever you have to to make this trip, for this will truely be your finest hour. Meat
Boonman, if you want, I can setup a page on the banshee zone for your shift stars. Just send me all the pictures you'd want and write up all the info. I might be able to drum up some business for your trip. I'll do this for any of you guys who need some cash for the Dumont trip. If you have a Banshee related product, send me pictures and info and i'll hook you up with a page on the banshee zone. Stan, your swingarms maybe ?? The site gets about 200 hits per day, everyday. Just write everything up so I can just copy&paste it. As for me going..... I doubt it. Iv been following this thread since it started and have been forcing myself not to post to it. One voice in my head says I cant afford it and the other voice says I might never have another chance like this again, I could be dead tomorrow. I'll be making J-arm 2 A-arm conversion kits again soon, so maybe if I sell a few.... I really have to do some thinking. If I dont go myself, I wanna dontate some of my soupies for camp kitchen. Closer to March, i'll send B370 a few of em to take along.

See what you can do... You need to show your shee what its like to play in a sandbox for once

Don't know how long its gonna take to chrome them (1.5 weeks maybe?), but the ones I have powder coated will be about 3-4 days turn around. Hope to have some up on fleaBay here soon....A little more exposure wouldn't hurt either. I just don't have any for sale yet. Got some billet though. EDIT** The wife and I talked about it (She brought it up actually) and she wants me to go, but she won't be able to make it. But she said she'd do what she can to get me some $$$ so I can go play. boonman
If you lived closer? Shit, you're closer than me by a long shot. I am gonna go, come hell or high water.... I just got rid of my two tractors that were sucking up space in the garage. Now I have some room to tear apart the driveline in the S-10. May be driving that thing out there. Who knows. Me an' Rod are gonna make this bitch. almost 40 hours of driving. man, if we only stop for fuel and shits, we can turn the trip in 2 days. I'm stoked as ever. I looked at the shee the other day. I haven't seen it in weeks. It should take me about 6-7 hours to get to Rod's house, and it's off to the races from there. Meat, save up!!!!!! And thanks for the offer on the web page. I have already gotten a little flood of business in the last few days, and I gotta check ebay and see what's up there. Although noone bid last I looked. No biggie. Anyways, It is looking more and more like a + here, so We will all be meeting and riding!!!! And dammm Stan. 1.5 weeks for chrome???? I get shit back the NEXT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! And if I can save enough money, Jim (PassionRE) will be hookin' my ass up with a stroker motor. We'll see how that goes. I gotta liquidate some shit around the house!!! And now Stan is goin'. Man, that just adds fuel to the fire. I love the sandbox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I don't remember who ponied up the trailer, I don't feel like scrolling down right now, but either that, or I got my landscaper that hauls 3 shees. Only problem is, if we take the S-10, we can't fit that much gear in there with 3 peeps!!! maybe Rod will have to break out the Crew cab Ferd. We'll know more as things progress. Cotton eyed Joe
Well Im about 75% sure I can make it. Its getting better everyday. Got the rear brake done, and got my 1 1/8 bar adapters on the banshee this week, getting the front brake seals in this next week. After that all I have to do it "adjust" that upper left a arm and I'm in business. Hopefully I can get painting on the plastic next week too since my brother in law (who's gonna paint my plastics for me) doesn't have a job, and/or works part time for me now. Chrome takes forever out here, but they do a good job. Most of the chrome shops are into re furbishing bumpers. No shit. Acres of bumpers ready to trade to insurance companys and body shops. Out of the 3 shops locally that I can use, all 3 are usually busy as hell. I'm going to bust my ass to get things moving. I want to go so bad. The 530+ miles (about 7.5 hours) doesnt bother me since St Anthonys is like 300. About 3 more hours is all. I got another 3 big orders in my shop that I have to fulfill, and its getting deeper and deeper. Its getting to the point that I have to train my dad to run one of the lathes so I can OD grind. Don't know whos going to be doing his work while he's doing my work. I'm probably going to be making my swingarm components on saturdays and sundays. Its looking more and more like 7 day work weeks for the next little while.
boonman
It's lookin' badass!!! And it's even winkin' at me!!! The 2800 miiles for me is lookin a little timid, but I am gonna do everything I can to friggin' make it. And I know what your talkin about with the 7 day work weeks!!! I am gonna be working my usual 24 hours today. I left the house this morning at 5:30 A.M. and I will get home tomorrow at about 5:00 A.M. Three jobs today. LMAO!!! And tomorrow, I start at 1:00 P.M. and I get home at 5:30 A.M. Work work work!!!!
