Racerx812
I'm trying to figure out the best tires to get for a 421 cub on alky. I have a drag cut stock frame strut on rear and Shaw's on the front. I will probably strut the front for next year. I have 14 paddle extremes right now with 71-72 RO. I want to get the right tires the first time. Trying not to waste my money. Thanks for all info
Surfrjag
get some 15 stags
slobanshee
Varies. Got a 421 with +10 arm and 12 rippers. 15/41 leaving in 2nd. 392 with +10 arm and 14 stag extremes. 14/40 gear leaving in 2nd I did try some 14 ext straights and neither bike liked them at all. All tires where 71-73 RO
Racerx812
Didn't know they made them.
Racerx812
I have a +8 ladder bar swinger on there now . With 15/41 gear leaving in second . Seems like a lot of people run a higher RO. Up around 78.
m671054
The larger ro tires and wheels are heavy if you dont get drag cut rims and ultralite cut tires. Most up the ro to allow for spacing between the paddle
Racerx812
I planned on getting cut rims and triple buffed either one I went with.
Racerx812
It seems like my 14 extreme straights just aren't hooking hard enough off the line.
n2otoofast4u
There are some other variables/changes that will help with that. IMO a 14ext is a good tire for a 4 cub. I do like the taller RO however.
slobanshee
The straight 14s didn't work for me. But a lot of guys use em. No two people and bikes like the same thing usually
Racerx812
Yeah I'm starting to see that. I just don't want to have to buy 14 and 16 to try them. Thanks for the info. If anyone else has any ideas/opinions please keep them coming.

troyzstang
Ok I kind of thought it was either you or Jesse. Seemed like your bike did great this past Sunday. Weren't you in the final rounds in the 351-450 class? Did Zach take you out?
