Jetting advice!

New to banshees if you guys haven't taken notice..

 

Just pulled my carbs apart during my top end rebuild.

 

Keihin pwk 28mm

45 pilot

138 main

2nd clip on napf needle

 

Mods are

Toomey t5

Pro design cool head 19cc domes

Stock intakes

Stock reeds

 

Elevation is 660ft

 

Plan on running unleaded 104.

 

Is this acceptable ?

Oh yeah and it's a stock port, stock stroke but it's a 64.5mm bore (.020) over

104 octane seems a little high no ? Probably just run 91 or 93

I was told with the 19cc domes I may need race fuel, once the hone gets in I'll have the top end together for a compression check

28s I have tuned on were in the 155 to 160 mainjet size but I would start bigger, maybe 162 or so they also sometimes need a needle change if they are rich off the bottom.

Damn this will be a crash course on carb tuning since my whole life I've avoided carbs in general and did all me learnin' on fuel injection lol

You could contact whitbread about fuel injection if that's what you know and seriously would like to continue with

I'll stick with carbs on the quad, seems way easier.

good rule of thumb I use is plug checks. to black to rich. to white to lean. peanut butter is good.
