sheerider1026
I run amsoil dominator @ 50:1. Nasty is correct in his statements. A lot of factors can come into play is the point here.
91coupemike
104 unleaded be okay for 19cc domes, .020 over bore, stock stroke, stock jugs? Or 110 leaded? Would that require a rejet? I'm taking the carbs apart tonight to see which jets I have.
WINDYCITYJOHN400
I couldn't get my cub to run on 100ll. No matter the tune it wouldn't rev out right. All I can tell you is that switching to 93 pump cured the problem 100LL has a motor octane of 106. You might have needed more compression. If your Cub ran on 93......it probably wasn't making enough heat with the higher octane for the dome/pipe combo.
sprinklerman
100ll is MON rated at 99.something. might as well call it 100. If you run it slightly rich , it's rated up to 130 octane. So if you want to play it safe at 100 octane , you're VERY safe. Independent testing shows it almost exactly the same as C12. minus an additive that helps with vapor lock and helps cold starting. It has almost the exact same amount of lead as C12 too.
dozer
we run 100ll in a bunch of small engine shit to avoid ethanol. i know its not blazing fast but ran a 4.43 at kansas a month ago before we ran out of test and tune time. saying its only for air planes is like saying off road diesel will hurt your on road truck motor. Well, one of the minor ones...
