ETR174
When I start my bike up in neutral and pull the clutch in and put it into gear if I give it a good amount of throttle I notice that the rear wheels just move forwards a little like the clutch isn't fully engaging. The fitting that plugs I to the clutch lever is screwed all the way out so could it just be a stretched cable and is there an adjustment on the other end of the cable just below the carbs? locogato11283
There is more adjustment inside the clutch cover. It's very possible your cable has stretched though.
ETR174
Ok thanks loco. I will take a closer look at it tomorrow. I'm sure its probably just the cable considering its 21 years old. I'll have to get myself a nice new Motion Pro cable.
Starwriter
It takes all of 5 seconds to push on the clutch actuator lever with your finger and see if the arrows line up.
ETR174
I don't see any arrows. Are they on the other end of the cable on the motor?
trickedcarbine
The tip of the actuator is an arrow. Look on the case and there is a little wedge shaped boss in the casting . There's the other arrow. Get them to line up or be sorta close. You could have underlying issues as well. When is the last time the clutch has been apart for inspection? ETR174
Ok I will look. 3 years ago when the bottom end was completely rebuilt.

ETR174
Yeah. My cousin was cheap as hell not to afford the little things.
