locogato11283 Posted September 11, 2014 Report Share Posted September 11, 2014 An arched or ladder swingarm could help transfer power on a drag setup better due to their increases rigidity. Other than that, they're mainly for looks and strength. I've bent several round and square tube swingarms over the years hill climbing.
