Rage_kage Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 I have developed a problem after installing a adjustable timing plate and new throttle cable on my banshee. I put both items on at the same time so its hard to narrow down which it is. It accelerates just fine and wot it runs like a banshee but as soon as I let off for a second and try to get back in it the power isn't there unless I pull the clutch and give it a rev. I don't really know the symptoms of unsynced carbs and I haven't played with my jetting since I set it to what FMF recommends. I backed the plate from +4 to +3 and the issue didn't really resolve any. Any input is appreciated Roughly 1500 ft above sea level Stock carbs Main: 260 Pilot:30 Stock needle 3rd clip +3 advance timing FMF fattys and powercore 2 No airbox lid Plugs went from a nice tan (pre installation) to black but not sooted black Quote
Blowtie316 Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 Is it possible that the carb slides were installed in the wrong carb, backwards? Quote
Rage_kage Posted August 28, 2014 Author Report Posted August 28, 2014 Put them in wrong initially, I found that out when I tried to sync them and nothing lined up in the windows, and I checked and made sure one wasn't stuck open... Quote
Blowtie316 Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 How about the rubber hose between the carbs, is it installed correctly? I've seen that be a problem before. Quote
Rage_kage Posted August 28, 2014 Author Report Posted August 28, 2014 The choke tube is there and isn't cracked...yet Quote
