Rapture
Have to agree with windy on this one. This is why you should clean your fucking bench off the minute you get home from work. To much stuff, not enough room. Wait till you see where I've been putting it back together ..
trickedcarbine
You mean wait till the next "Where does this clip go?" thread. I assemble in a 12x12 shed. It's more organized then most peoples garages and huge barns. Got air, parts washer, heat, led lighting, and a CLEAN bench. Jgspahn
What all did you do to that motor to get it to look so good
WINDYCITYJOHN400
He's got a sheet of cardboard with a bath towel laid over the washer and drier. He's standing on 3 weeks of dirty clothes. It's lit with a single pull chain 60 watt bulb. Carried all the parts down flights of stairs to the basement. Washing parts with simple green because everything else stinks up the house. Using tools he rented from NAPA.......
sheesfast
The spring in this picture is closer to the size of the shift drum. Clearly not a spring for fitting in shift fork shafts. There are no springs that shape or size inon or around a Banshee motor. You got oddball parts laying on your bench. (Some of those weedwacker/string trimmers have dual springs in the head) Maybe it's time to reach out to lawn maintenance website to check that string trimmer assembly. Rapture
What all did you do to that motor to get it to look so good Paint stripper, sandblast, paint, silicone hose, decals?
sheesfast
Funny thing. Guy at work just asked if I had a extra spring for a weedeater this morning. Found one, it fits into shift drum cover just like the one in the pic. Somebody's weedeater is not working right.

sheesfast
If it's a VW part that means they're built with weedeater parts. Sorry Vdub guys. Same spring I held in my hand with a drum cover. Identical.
