My left light went dim over the weekend and was flashing the code and i didn't pay attention to it and then the left cly went lean and ate the piston all up. Live ya learn I guess. I have a factory Yamaha mechanics service manual from 1996. The safety system is on all the bikes in the post round plug stator era. (Bikes with round style plugs at the stator have no safety system. ) That is why it is so hard to find stators for sale with round plugs. Most stator manufacturers have stopped production of them due to liability issues. Should there be a motor problem it's not worth the lawsuits. I soldered it all together and it ran fine. I guess that wire is just bad. I'm running the ground into the ground for the left headlight so it is less complicated.
