ETR174 Posted August 19, 2014 Report Share Posted August 19, 2014 My rear shock is running like crap and needs to be rebuilt. It sits too low and when I sit the rear end is very low to the ground. I want to know can a YFZ450R rear shock replace it with no problems? I found one for a good price and wanted to know if it will work. Only thing is that its off a YFZ450R which is a long travel suspension set up and the rear shocks are longer than the carbonated base YFZ450. Atomic Monkey Posted August 19, 2014 Report Share Posted August 19, 2014 I've got a raptor 660 shock I might want to get rid of, its got a remote rez and is a little longer... by at least an inch. Imo you'd probably be better off getting your stocker rebuilt with the right spring, that's the path I've decided to take... after picking up that raptor shock.
