Nisjeep
Hi, I am doing a Banshee engine conversion on my YFZ. Sitting on the arse end of the globe makes it difficult but through beer and sweat it must fit! I have a couple of questions> What is the base jet sizes for running a 380 stroker with stock carbs and FMF Fattys? I will be using the stock YFZ radiator fan and rectifier but a Banshee harness without TORS. How do I wire the YFZ rectifier to the Banshee stock stator to charge a tiny sealed batt? I do not have a Banshee rectifier. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
camatv
290-350 mains on stock carbs. i am pretty sure you cannot make a banshee stator work with the yfz regulator. try baja designs regulator for floated ground style set ups. banshee's do not have a rectifier they have a voltage regulator thats only for running lights. Coupelx
How many yellow wires go to the yfz rectifier? If there's only 2 then it should work with the banshee stator with a floated ground but I can not confirm.
Nisjeep
Thanks for the info guys. I'm floating the earth from the Banshee stator to the other yellow or white.yellow on the YFZ regulator rectifier. Keeping the charging system apart from the ignition system. If I manage to blow something up it's my bad.
mlarkin_09
Why do you want to charge a battery? I'm using a banshee voltage reg and powering the sock yfz lights just fine. I re read the post and see you want to run a fan and i assume the stock yfz radiator. I think you will be disappointed in the cooling capacity.
