Lhardy Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 Gentleman, I am looking for a little help for a starting point. New to banshees and would like opinions. have a stock bore banshee. T5's. 28mm mikuni flat slides. Has reeds and spacers. K&n twins w/outterwears. No port. 1000' asl. 60's to 80's is the usual ridding temp. I've been looking through the jetting page at the top. Looks l Ike guys are running around a 150 main and a 45 pilot. Does this seem like a good staring point? Thanks in advance. Love this site! Quote
oldskool Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 27.5/30 pilot Start with 300 main. I think you will end up with 290. This is a starting point, don't assume this is perfect. You need to read your plugs. Quote
Lhardy Posted August 13, 2014 Author Report Posted August 13, 2014 Thanks oldskool.glad I asked. I'll start there. Quote
twittle Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Lhardy I think you are looking at jetting for keihin carbs instead of mikuni carbs. Way different jet sizes between the two. Quote
oldskool Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Twittle, ignore me. I misread your post Quote
Lhardy Posted August 14, 2014 Author Report Posted August 14, 2014 Twittle. Im sure thats what I was doing. Didn't realize there would be such a difference. That's answers the next question I would have asked. Thanks Quote
