Jgspahn
Check this thread... a little search goes a long way http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=156018 Thank you for the link. I know that searching goes a long way, and i do alot of searching on here for a lil research and ideas. BUT.. I like talking about banshees in general, and I like have a conversation with the members of this site. I like the back and forth and the feedback.. im sorry if that annoys you and all man, but this is my hobby and I like to discuss it.
Jgspahn
Completely understandable.... as Special mentioned... those 2 would be my choice.... I love the TTO.. and for the cost you can't go wrong.. Temp gauge is one of my favorite add ons for the bike... keeping track of temps has always been a something thats saved my ass a few times... especially when you ride a lot of tight trails at lower speeds... 40-60$ part that can save you countless cash in the long run. ^^^This Ive got alot of time and money tied up in this thing and I dont want to burn it up cause I didnt spend 50 bucks. I was thinkings about a trail tech vapor, but I dont see anyone really raving about them on here. I like them because they have the warning lights for temp. Can you see the TTO at night? JTmachining
I'm stupid simple. I like billet manual temp gauge in rad hose.
WINDYCITYJOHN400
As stated.....KOSO or TTO are the only real choice. I own both and they are extremely valuable tools. The vapor ends up with issues when used on a banshee.
Jgspahn
Just purchase the TTO in black off of Ebay for 39.95 shipped. Thanks folks.
trickedcarbine
There's some wireless data logging stuff for the race car crowd. Get a wireless temp sensor and sync it to your IPhone or Droid. Put a clip for your phone on the bars. Now you got tunes, GPS, speedo, and whatever other shit you can dream of. Can't remember the company that makes all the SYNC stuff but I'll dig through a stack of magazines to see if I can find it. I have my I phone in the life proof case and one of the holsters for it on my bars and it takes abuse! I've rolled the quad and the phone was cool.
sprinklerman
I'm stupid simple. I like billet manual temp gauge in rad hose.I agree. Why deal with wires, sensors, or a battery.
sprinklerman
I ran the inline on my 400 but I was able to see it by looking down no problem... not as fortunate with the banshee with the pipes there. always like to keep a close eye on temps right on the bar pad couldn't be any easierIf you have temperature spikes that happen so quick that you need to monitor them from your handlebars in an instant. ...you have issues IMO. sprinklerman
That's what I use...it works it's easy and it looks good too.And there's the accuracy issue. I have a hard time trusting anything but a mechanical unit.
Bennett131
And there's the accuracy issue. I have a hard time trusting anything but a mechanical unit.Yes there's that factor as well. I just try to keep shit simple, it seems to cause fewer headaches imo.

WINDYCITYJOHN400
And there's the accuracy issue. I have a hard time trusting anything but a mechanical unit. So....you would rather lean over and check a temp of a gauge that is just a coiled spring the gets hot and unwindes to move a pointer instead of just glancing down at a digital gauge that is accurate to within ONE degree? Do you remove those factory digital radios from your car and replace them with one that has a knob? FFS the TTO and KOSO run on a watch battery that lasts over a year. And it's just one wire....you know, like an hour meter.

At least I know it's accurate. .. adding wires and cheapo 30.00 gauge isn't my idea of good mod.
