CottonBranchRacing
More rollout, less paddle I promise you those rippers are costing you on the big end
joshb
Why don't you tell them the biggest tires you had on that bike ?
special06shee
What kind of 60ft are your looking for? Im very green with the whole 300' scene, but to me , 1.46 seem pretty good for a quad with no bar and a small motor... Maybe i just never seen a good 60' time tho? joshb
For no bar that's real good
slobanshee
I like lots of paddle. But since I basicly dune race I hunt a lot of tire for out loose sand. I'd like to shave .05 off the 60ft and try to dip into the 3s with no bar. Fully suspended. Just a personal goal I'd like to do.
slobanshee
It's not a big hp bike by any means. Stock axle, shocks, ect.... So it maybe just simply outa power too
m671054
It it doesnt bog, how is it out of power? If it doesnt wheelie, why wouldnt you thing it was a lack of traction issue
slobanshee
My original post mentioned maybe using more paddle. It's not bogging cause clutch is doing its job I think. It's carrieing the front end a little. But not enough to need to get outa the throttle. Sliding back will cause it to get outa shape quickly. joshb
Did you mention your jockey weighs 115 lb?
trickedcarbine
Hmm, you may be pretty close to the limits of the current set up. If you get that thing in to the high 3's that'll be pretty bad ass. What is the chassis weight like? trickedcarbine
There are a couple good set up changes from both CAMATV and Cotton, are you against trying a 1-4 Over ride? If start putting the bike on a massive diet as well.
SlowerThanYou
After some more information came to light. IMO, no need for a 1st gear start with a 115 lb. rider. There's nothing wrong with a Ripper Paddle on a small motor. We have been there, done that! We went from high 70's mph with a 75" RO 12 paddle Extreme. To low to mid 80's with a 75" RO 14 paddle Ripper. Rippers don't always mean a lower mph. Now looking at your time slip. Your mph seems a little low. I know, I always say mph doesn't win races. But in this case I think you can improve your ET, by raising your mph. IMO, your mph should be in the mid 70's for that ET. Find the mph & your ET should drop, but may require other changes also. trickedcarbine
Ok, you're on alky. What sort o timing are you giving it and what type of compression? Also, the reeds have the stuffer mod?

In theory the cheetah is supposed to be capable of really moving volume but it takes the right set up to get it moving the way it should. I've been talking with quite a few builders about cheetah design and the guys that like them all realize this the motor has a huge intake but pretty close to cub exhaust. So if it can only shit so much it can't totally use what it's trying to eat. Figure out how to get it to shit equally as much as it can eat with out letting it fall on it's face and you get a motor that runs as efficient as possible. slobanshee
Chassis is a stock one with minimal weight removed. Oem subframe, front arms, steering stem but diff handle bars. Timings +7. 186/188 psi. Plug stap is happy there. We are leaving in 2nd consistantly. Changing gearing around it'll pick up mph to 73-74 but 60 slows to a high 1.5 and it slows overall to a 4.3. Seems like I can get 60ft or mph. And nothing between. Lol. Maybe I'm asking to much of it since it's down on power and fat haha. Just really wanted to take it as fast as possible before doing all the lightening and wheelie bar ect
