Have you considered checking on shipping prices to US? Lots of banshee guys here that will talk to you and get you on track
trickedcarbine
You've already entered in to the "you're fucked" contract. They gave you a rough number with a $1,000 cushion. That already means thy have no clue, when any dealer should have an actual break down. If it is just seized they are gonna just check if the crank isn't Womped out with out even splitting the cases. If it is even sort of close they will just bore/hone and slap the top end back on and send you on your way with a huge bill regardless. They already have your shit in pieces and know he odds of you coming to get it after they tore it down are slim to none. Face it, they saw a fella who didn't have a clue, and you bit. Seriously, go get your shit........ Or just expect owning your banshee to cost countless thousands at a dealer who at this point is probably just as lost. Once your bottom end lets go, and eats that new $3,000 top end they will gladly charge you 2-3k to start over again.

trickedcarbine
^ no shit, right. That is hands down the best way to handle it. Then rebuild the old your self at your pace. All the while having a spare motor.

That dealership will take you to the bank.. over and over.

WINDYCITYJOHN400
........and windy I know ur right but where do I startYou start right here with a community of knowledgeable members that are available pretty much 24 hours a day to coach you along. You may be about as far away as possible....but you're only a mouse click away from expert advice. I KNOW the desire is to fuel and fly. But these bikes need an owner that is informed. They can rent 4-strokes to grandmothers, but 2-strokes require a handler. That's why as much as people bash Banshees.....it's the ONE QUAD that ALL others are measured by. The owner of a strong running Banshee is respected as more than just a rider. You get a CLYMERS manual and start reading posts here......you'll be a member of a bad ass fraternity soon enough.
