Im going to little saraha this year and I also ride in sand here in missouri, I need to know whats gunna be the best paddle out there for my ride? I know straight paddles are more for drags right? But what about like only 8 paddle straight paddles? What about v shapped paddles, such as sand skates? What about the new itp sand stars, with the v paddle and the extra little paddle in the middle? such as the sand geckos? Whats the deal with the paddle masters, what are those like, are they heavy? Help me out..

Don't get gecko's....haven't met a person yet that's had them and liked them. My buddy has them on his EX & hates them. They're ok,...but don't hook for shit compared to others. I've always ran strait paddles, they hook good & you can still slide around & shit just fine. I'm running 8 paddle King's Turbo Paddles, they hook awesome & are better in construction compared to my 9 paddle skats, and hook just as good. They're awesome, and $180 cheaper than skat trak. ;) I let my buddy throw them on his EX since I have Honda rear hubs....he doesn't want to take them off now....

Ive got gheckos, sandstars and some old v-blades....I love the sandstars, they are almost as grippy as haulers with a little extra slideability and the fronts track great. The gheckos came with my bike and I only ran them when it was completely stock..they were fun but not enough hook-up for anything other than playing around, but work great for sliding across the top of a dune with little body english, the v-blades are on par with gheckos but too worn down to really give ya a good review. My roomate has extreme haulers 8 paddles 20" on his bike and I wouldn't trade my sandstars for em anyday, the stars are much more fun in my opinion

hope this helps

I just got back from the dunes on some new sand stars on 10inch ITP 190 rims. and they are awsome, best V-shaped tire out there. lots of bite, I put a quarter on the paddle and the paddles are taller than the quarter. very happy with the Sand Stars.fa9de6c9.jpg I paid 214.00 shipped from that pawn shop in Veges that sells on Ebay. fa9de6ca.jpg

All I know is if you have a high HP machine..or even a banshee w/ basic mods and porting get the SKAT TRAK Extreme Haulers in size 21x10x8 I believe.....but the key is the 8 inch rim..I went from hauler 10 inch rims to the 8s and gained about 2-3 bike lengths on my buddies..they're SOO much lighter and dig real well.

I recommend the extremes also because the paddle is stiffer and more durable..I was ripping the hell outta a set of regular haulers the first dune trip

Led, where can I find those paddles you're talking about. I tried to look them up on google with no luck.

I dunno man,...haven't been able to find them online myself...they're on my shee in those pics in my sig, the yellow shee has 9 paddle haulers...no complaints about them either, but I prefer the wider 8 paddles that I'm running now. They're the bomb shizznizzle! ;)

This is where I bought them: http://www.jimssandtoys.com

It's the shop in town in Waynoka, Ok....I paid like right around $168 total for the wheels/paddles, they're 10" rims. They have them in stock, the King's Turbo Paddles & the sand stars on 10inch rims are they're biggest sellers down there. I was going to buy some extreme skat haulers & they told me not to  ...instead get the King's paddles over them because they're a better quality tire & hook up just as good if not better, and also a little over $100 cheaper. So I got them & I'm happy now. :) If you're going to LS, you can pick them up when you get down there. Or I imagine they could ship them to ya also.

Ride on! B)

I run 20-10-10 8 paddle xtreme haulers. I love them. I ran them in the winter, I beat on them in the parking lot, down the street, everywhere.... They still look brand new... Tough as nails. They hook awesome, and you can slide anytime you want..... I see no need for me to switch to a V paddle. Although some people swear by them.. And I don't know what the hay your talkin about, a 10" wheel is lighter than an 8" wheel, with the same diameter tire on it..... Your paddles may be flexing a little better, and the tire conforming to the terrain a litle better... but it's not lighter. For normal dune riding, I would go with the 10" wheel. For dragging, perhaps the smaller wheel would be better.....

well i'm in missouri too i ride at st joe state park, and i'm goin to little sahara next year as well lol, anyways i have ran the skat track haulers 20x10 and they are pretty dang light and work very well, but in my opinion for the best all around tire, which is dirt, and sand cuz i drag in both and like turning capabilities are the good ol pro wedges, which may not be a hardcore sand tire but it manages to keep the front wheels of my banshee in the air most of the time lol

Hey, i run the paddles masters on my shee. They hook up better than the skats i used to have, and way better than the v paddles. My friend ran the new geckos and dint really like them. My paddles hook up so well, i had to change sprockets, to get bac the power on my(for now)fairly stock shee. They r loud though, when u get in 5th or 6th, all u hear is them, no engine. Its funny, the first time i heard it, i kept lookin round for a helicopotor or something. I run them in the snow too. The blew everybody else out of the water last year. And we had to drive down the road twice to get to trails last year, no wear at all. They are tall, and hook up alot. When i got mine they only came in one size , but i hear there r more sizes now. they slide really contolably. I love sliding with them, but for draggin, they hook up great too. They r very hard though(so u can run them in mud), i had like 5psi, and they r almost rock hard. I havent run them in mud yet, but i bet they will throw some serious shit. I wouldnt trade them for the world, but thats my input. If u got ?s just pm me. Peace out. B)
