dave5.0 Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 How'd ya get your chain centered? Mines offset? And how do you adjust the chain with the guard on there? No rotor gaurd? Quote

sheerider11 Posted July 29, 2014 Author Report Posted July 29, 2014 How'd ya get your chain centered? Mines offset? And how do you adjust the chain with the guard on there? No rotor gaurd?Chain was centered. I didn't have to. Do anything. Adjustments will be a bitch. I'll wait to see how, theses minimal room. And I'll get a rotor guard soon. I don't really need these as I ride sand and trails maybe once a year. I just liked it. Quote
87sheerips Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 How'd ya get your chain centered? Mines offset? And how do you adjust the chain with the guard on there? No rotor gaurd? I added .125" length to the welded spacers recently, Dave. That helps with the visual center of the chain. Adjusting is kind of a pain, I will agree. I am thinking about adding some reliefs to the guard to assist with chain adjustment. Quote
m671054 Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Do you run the lower chain guide with this or is it left off? Quote
sheerider11 Posted October 22, 2014 Author Report Posted October 22, 2014 Do you run the lower chain guide with this or is it left off?On. It's really close. I had to trim mine a bit. Quote
87sheerips Posted February 4, 2020 Report Posted February 4, 2020 Pretty cool buddy let me know when you need a new set. Quote
Deets Posted February 5, 2020 Report Posted February 5, 2020 Big deal to not run rotor or sprocket guards? Quote
ginger Posted February 5, 2020 Report Posted February 5, 2020 depends on what you ride on. if its dunes/sand you dont need it. woods/rocky areas, i would recommend something to keep it from bending a rotor out there. I have JD's newest style kit, and it works great, i just bent the tool i use for adjusting the chain so it clears the sprocket guard. 1 Quote
xandred Posted April 14, 2020 Report Posted April 14, 2020 Nice. Looks like JDS sprocket guards are a good investment. Quote
