What would be the best sprocket gearing for duning and racing up the dunes or even flat dune racing? Right now I have 13\41 gearing I believe!

Ok…well is your bike stock with a graphics kit or a 18 mill DM?

 

Are you running 18" knobbies in sand or 78 rollout 14 paddle staggered Rippers?

 

Pump gas or Jet fuel?

 

350 pound jockey or Daffy Duck at the controls?

 

It's a context question and you gave no context.  So till we have some more info……..does this shirt compliment my eye color? ;)

ive tried several different combos on a few different setups and unless you are making stupid amounts of power, the stock(?) 14/41 seems to be the most useful.

Motor- Port/polish, wiseco pistons, and crank, stock carbs, T5 exhaust

 

Tires - GBC Sand Shark II's 20*11*10

 

I'm about 215, and I run pump fuel with redline racing oil at 32:1

So….42-44 HP with little tires.

 

Yep 14-41 or even 13-41 if you drag race.

I dont like 13 tooth chains especially in sand. If you use a 14 tooth front you can use 14-43 or 44 and for dragracing start in 2nd. You may find if you start in 1st you will wheelie right when you hit 2nd and also what you lose in tire momentum right out of the hole will make you lose a bit which will equate to a couple bike lengths at the end of a dune pass. Good luck, we all started with trail type bikes and just wanted to go faster.

My pops would race my banshee since I was always gone because of school and the army, he said that if I went from 13-41 to 13-43 I would be able to pull the hill in fourth but I have tried to start in 2nd gear before and I couldn't get enough power to get out if the hole

If there is one thing I've learned from all my readins on this here site, it's that there ain't no machines from Okieville with any powers.

Dems that gots powers....got no talent.

Ain't no hope fer you son. Even if youz was able to buy some powers from somebody.....you'll just eat BBQ till ya gots big and that there bike justdug holes when yawl drop the clutch.

 

A guy named DDQ might help you though......

He's BIG into that CrossFit stuff.
