gatesy
Mine was doing this, I think it is moisture causing the carb too stick. Mine was only doing it after going through puddles or riding in heavy rain. I just used a bit of silicon around the top of the carb and where the cable goes in, I havent had a problem since. May or may not work for you but seems to work for me
gatesy
the banshee carb is a VM26 and yes you can get chrome slides for them(here in aus anyway). I have a set of chrome slide for a set of vm34 carbs 148311 Where did you get them from. Your the only other aussie I have come across on this site
Aussie Quad Racer
i got them from the local bike wreckers. I completely solved the problem by using a single 34mm mikuni flatslide powerjet carb
Shee-Male
The RZ had a choke tube too and I can't imagine there's be a runaway 2stroke street bike without the factory making some very obvious changes!!! 127961 Befor I ripped apart the Rz I bought for the engine, I took it for a ride in the parking lot in the rain and the carbs stuck just like my banshee's just not as severe, I think the RZ airbox helps prevent it, if you've ever seen on it would make you giggle at the obstical corse to the carbs. I think someone needs to try 2 right side carbs w/o choke and see? Oh ya, the rz carbs are also fed oil via the pump.
ROB
Purchased a new 2005 about 6 months ago.. I had removed the TORS, Re-Jetted, T-6's, K&N..etc... Silconed the throttle cables at the point of entry to the carbs to keep out moisture...Still stuck wide open, until I feathered the throttle... It was really starting to piss me off... Until a riding buddy, had similar problems, he took his slides out.. There is a black coating on the slides (not on older models). Took a fine grit sand paper and sanded the black off until it was bare metal. Did not stick after that... I did the same. Rode this past weekend.. First time I had ridden it (through mud & water) with the slides sanded... Needless to say, they did not stick once!!
TheBansheeMan86
Didn't read any other replies on here, but if it hasn't been said, I just put stiffer springs in my carb slides LOL!
