blk02banshee
get chrome slides to. this will stop it. I have crome slides for my 34mm round slide carbs I was looking all ove for this thread. lol I'm not sure that they make the chromed slides for the banshee carbs. I can find out, though. I live 10 minutes from one of the largest mikuni distributers.
Holyman
I'm still wondering if capping off the choke tube or completely sealing the choke tube does the trick. I know some folks need to use a choke but it's only to get it to warm up. Choking one jugs should work if it really comes down to it. Yamahammer
If the problem returns i will try it washed the bike today and did not start it so i will play with it tomorrow.. Aussie Quad Racer
the banshee carb is a VM26 and yes you can get chrome slides for them(here in aus anyway). I have a set of chrome slide for a set of vm34 carbs
Tim C
I had a problem with mine after I drilled the carbs for the idle screws and what was causing it was a burr from drilling and/or tapping. I took fine sand paper (600 or 1000 grit) and went over the hole to clean it up so it would not catch the slide.

badassbanshee99
where the choke goes into the left carb, isnt there an o ring to seal it? maybe the seal needs replacing? since i hoseclamped my pipe tight havent had any more probs, seeya. So was this the problem then? all i would have to do is put a clamp around that little hose that connects the 2 carbs and i would be set? let me know because this is ruining all my rides

blk02banshee
I'm still wondering if it has something to do with the aftermarket pipes, because mine only started doing it after I got my pipes, and my friend has 2 banshees that are all stock, and he NEVER has that problem. He can ride through rivers and rain, and it never sticks. It seems that all I have to do, is get my tires wet, or ride in fog, and my throttle sticks and runs like shit. Maybe the aftermarket pipes flow so good, that it makes the vacuum high enough to cause problems?. That still would'nt explain where the water is getting in. I'm gonna check into that choke knob, and see if new seals help at all.

dumper_uk
My mate had a problem with his throttle sticking last week. But it was only on full throttle,we changed the cabe and twist throttle but was still sticking wide open,We cleaned the slides as they were a bit rough and its a bit better. He has the tors removed and idle screws fitted.. Just wondering if anyone has tried fitting RD/RZ ypvs carbs,I believe they are the same size, but the have the idle screws as standard so if the problem is due to bad drilling/tapping it won't happen with these carbs... Also has anyone tried 28mm flatslide carbs from a tzr250 or KR1s ?
slimeball
I have that problem all the time. I think it is moisture. When water squirts in a carb it will race so if you are in overall moist conditions it will happen gradually. Then the more it gets wet the more it sticks. I almost kiled myself when I bought my bike used. I was riding unaware that I had no air b lid on got the filter wet and the bike took off like a bat out of hell
