shanYE west
I've never had a problem adjusting timing plates with the flywheel on.

hp2000
I agree with all you that it's not hard or time consuming adjusting by moving the whole plate. But it is easier to adjust by just moving the pick up on a wicked timing plate or trinity one. Btw I'm not a trinity racing fan either but this timing plate idea is cool. trickedcarbine
I do like those plates, just don't see many of them. Isn't there typically more adjustment on them?

shanYE west
i've used both styles of plates.. I prefer the standard PD style.. They can be adjusted past
shanYE west
how is it easier?? you loosen 3 bolts and spin the plate? With trinity style, you loosen 2 bolts move the pick up and reset gap. I find it easier with the PD style plate.. JMO though.
sprinklerman
A lot of guys only run 2 bolts to make it quicker too. I prefer to just sacrifice a 10mm wrench and have all 3.
hp2000
The middle Allen head is set and doesn't let the pick up move when you loosen the 2 outers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
shanYE west
the trinity plate I had let the whole pick up assembly wobble while it was being adjust.. didn't seem to positive so I always reset my gap. Its not my cup of tea. I run 2 bolts on my PD plate.. only because I have a stripped out bolt hole.(previous owner). So now its just as easy to change.. 2 wrench turns less total on the job.. lol Too each their own, use what you prefer. But the rumor of it being easier to adjust and you have to remove the flywheel is just a myth.
WINDYCITYJOHN400
Too each their own, use what you prefer. But the rumor of it being easier to adjust is just a myth. ^^^^ keeps saying to each their own.....but just like Tyler.....will continue to rattle on about every item he's used, why he hated everything he ran BEFORE till you all stop talking about anything other than what he runs CURRENTLY. The horse is dead. It's a fucking timing plate. But you're not doing it right till you run the same unit as on ShanYE's bike...... including the one missing stripped out bolt. Carry on with the ever important Plate Debate.
