thrasher1988
i've been busy building 3 other bmws so i haven't had time for this lately but i'd like to get back to it. It had no spark when you pushed it into the garage after it had been sitting. You moved the wiring around while testing and it ran until the wires moved on a bump. You have a bad ground or intermittant open. Start off by buying a new harness from kompulsive concepts?. Fixes 90% of these problems and it is one of the cheapest parts to throw at the problem. i tested all the wires in the harness with a vom, even tried moving the wires around during the testing and found no opens or high resistance. my coil was verified to be good by the yamaha dealership. so i'm left with the cdi or stator. my stator tested good and the problem doesn't seem to care whether the engine is hot or cold.
