naoh05
Do stock cdi boxes have the ability to output tachometer readings? What is the best and/or cheapest way to measure rpms with out buying a device like Trail Vapor? Edited July 7, 2014 by naoh05
WINDYCITYJOHN400
For what? If you are thinking of a tach for monitoring and shifting purposes. .....forget that idea.
trickedcarbine
Just let my deaf friend ride my banshee on Saturday. Never rode a banshee before yet he got every gear perfect with no tach

tfaith08
Zilla is about right on setting idle. As for your question, I don't know the schematic, but tapping into the spark plug wires won't work since it's a wasted spark system. I'm sure that someone has an answer though. naoh05
Do it by ear, do you really want to set the idle at exactly 1223rpm? There is no reason to be exact on idle, just set it to where it idles without wanting to die and it doesn't hang when you rev it. what do you mean by hang? like stay open? tfaith08
By hang, he means that it doesn't drop back to idle speed right away when the slides drop.
