ETR174
I'm trying to find a set of stock 5N7's and I can't find any for sale anywhere. eBay, Jetsrus, I even looked up local Mikuni dealerships and they don't have these. Anybody got any idea where to buy these from? Also I was told on BansheeHQ FaceBook to get 270 mains and 27.5 pilots. I got FMF Fatty's, bored .30 over, Pod filters, and running Boyesen power reeds on stock cages. 600 ft above sea level. Does that jetting combination seem right? I had FMF Ram Valves with crappy torn reeds and that lagged at the top of the powerband which is a main jet issue but I have switched to stock cages and Boyesen reeds since then. Also what needle position? Just for reference: Available Main Jets: 270 and 280 Available Pilot Jets: 25 and 27.5 Needle: 5N7
sheerider11
Jetting sounds about right. And I have a bunch of stock needles. If you need I'll dig them out and send em to you. But what needles do you have now that aren't working?
ETR174
5N7's that's because they are bent
ETR174
Also do you have the E clips too?
sheerider11
Also do you have the E clips too?I don't think so. Usually because I drop them and the parts gremlin comes and takes it and it's gone forever. But any hardware store has them. I'll look at work tomorrow, I know I have a drawer full of them. ETR174
Alright thanks. Do you know what clip position it should be at?
sheerider11
Middle to start. You need to decide what the bike wants.
ETR174
Ahhh I see, looked at my Boyesen manual and it shows how the higher up on the needle the leaner. I'm probably going to be on the 4th or 5th position.
