jaygotti
i have a 98 banshee and i bought it fully built, cool head v force reeds, carbs, toomey pipes.... after owning it i noticed it always had oil/grease on the skid plates from the right and left side even after i washed it. my clutch also went bad (it slips horribly in high rpm) and i have this knocking sound that comes from the bottom half of the bike, or at least it sounds like the bottom half to me. the bike hasn't lost power at all. heres a link to the the knocking it makes (not my bike but same noise) - thanks
pp13bnos
I can't really tell anything from the video, other than you need to get a kick start rebuild kit. But, if there is some knocking coming from the bottom end, I would pull off the stator cover and check to see if your flywheel has came loose. This last week, I was down on the sand, and all of a sudden the bike started sounding like things where coming apart in the bottom end. I shut it off immediately, drove home, had a couple beers and started tearing the motor out. My brother texted me and told me to check the flywheel. I was hoping to send it to cam at Redline, but not yet. Moral of the story is drink some beer.
