2005shee
Ok so I'm on my third clutch cable since I bought the thing 7 months ago (broke the one that came on it in February and just broke the motion pro I put on in February today) I ordered two so that I could take an extra with me but I don't feel like they should break that quick. I don't see anywhere it binds and its not hard to pull, it breaks off right at the ball thing at the clutch lever. I have hd springs in it if that makes a difference(just the 15% stronger ones nothing super hd) anyways, any idea why it would break or is this normal? sheerider11
Maybe your perch or lever
hoppedupandcutdown
I only use original Yamaha cables for that same reason.
toytech
I've had a motion pro on mine for 2 yrs and it's still fine. I would say it's binding in your clutch lever
2005shee
I'll take a look at it when I get my new cables but I really didn't see or feel anywhere it was binding until the day it broke I noticed it looked like it was unravelling. trickedcarbine
Getting rubbed/pinched in the perch. Wouldn't happen to be the newer magnum EZ pull would it?
2005shee
No its actually OEM perch, not the one that came on it but still an original one
DEM3500
are you pulling the ferrel off the end of the cable or actually breaking the cable?
